The second generation has an end link and female Center link, the prior generation there is no separate end link. I've read that others have tried it and it hasn't worked.

I've got them both but haven't tried to personally swap the bracelet, I'll look at it tomorrow.

@MasterDecastr @Donn Chambers I tested this today and we can put it to bed. I don't mind eating my words when I'm wrong and I'm fairly hungry at the moment, so I'm going to start by saying that the bracelet does work, technically.

However, it leaves about 1 mm of the upper portion of the lug exposed because both the case and bracelet of the second generation heritage are slimmer (total height 13.88mm vs 14.95mm on the first gen).

also, it was a bit of a pain to get these to seat properly because they didn't really want to line up as easily as the first gen bracelet lines up on the first gen case or the second gen bracelet lines up on the second gen case, so I ended up moving down to a 20 mm Spring Bar. It was secure when I got it on and I wouldn't say that it was really difficult so much as slightly frustrating.

So: does this technically work? Yes. But, you're going to leave a whole bunch of the lug side exposed. At a glance it's going to look fine but as soon as someone takes a closer look it's not going to look good and I think eventually (MAYBE) the exposed areas of the lug could become pretty beaten up.

It's a shame really that it didn't work that well, but I was super happy to get my baby blue back on the wrist.

If there was a 21 mm end link that fit the first gen case, this would workout perfectly. Maybe someone can convince a company to make that.

Isn't it a bit wide and with a very chunky clasp? What about a forstner or unkle Seiko?

The second generation bracelet tapers from 21 mm to 16 mm at the clasp. The clasp only has three micro adjustment positions instead of six, so it isn't as long. It feels ever so slightly thinner (less tall) as well, but I'm not sure if this is actually the case, although I think the bracelet is just a touch less tall.

Not going to lie, @ErichPryde I don't hate it. Do you mind posting a wrist shot of that config? (Gen 1 watch with Gen 2 bracelet)

Except for the shot that I posted above I only have this one. It wears and feels just like a second gen essentially with that slightly narrower-across-the-wrist profile and it makes me wish that someone did build an endink that would work perfectly.

I'm still very head over heels with my 75th anniversary heritage, so I was pretty quick to get that back on its bracelet. I don't think that is a condition that is going to go away anytime soon for me... this thing is FANTASTIC.

Thanks for the full report. I suspect the previous reports of reporting no fit did not fiddle with it enough or change the spring bars. It doesn鈥檛 look horrible.

Thank you SO MUCH for doing this. You鈥檝e showed all details of this and I really apr茅ciate it. Shame it鈥檚 not 100% perfect, but it does look good regardless.

your summer blue 300 is perfection.

It's no problem. I'm glad that I was able to do it, this is definitely a community worth contributing knowledge to and the least I can do is give back by testing a bracelet fit! 馃槈

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words! I don't think I would change anything about this watch and sadly for my others, it has not left my wrist since I got it.

This Staib 2792 arrived from Germany this afternoon.
Off with the rubber and on with this only took a few minutes.
I got the 150mm and it's a perfect fit on my 42mm SOH and <7" wrist

Two questions: does anyone know the general price of the second generation bracelet? And, for those who have both first and second generation models on bracelets: do you feel the lost of the 6 micro-adjustments on the first down to 3 on the second, is a defect, or not really? Thanks.

I never used more than 2 on the first gen bracelet, and rarely use 1 on the new one. So it works fine for me and I like the smaller and thinner clasp.

@M'Bob I own both a first and second generation currently, and the loss of the other positions makes no difference if you are wearing the watch for normal activities. Although I have occasionally used all three positions when my arm got hot during summer, I typically only use two positions.

The only time I could actually see this being a concern is if I was wearing my watch over a wetsuit, but I don't do that type of diving.

I have to add @M'Bob... I thought it would be a step down and said something similar a while back, and @Donn Chambers assured me it wouldn't be an issue. Either clasp is perfectly acceptable, it's going to come down to your feelings about the two bracelets probably, whether or not you like the greater taper or whether or not you like the polished Center links. Neither bothers me.

Although I鈥檓 a huge fan of the second generation bracelet, I should also mention that the Heritage looks great with straps as well. I currently have mine on an Artisan natural Horween strap and I love the look.

Hey all, came across this post and set up an account to share. I'd been on the lookout for a bracelet for this piece for a long while (mine came on the strap), and settled on a Forstner Komfit. These are adjustable a few mm so you can use your OEM springbars and they fit 21mm. Here's a pic.

One small concern: the spring-loaded ends grinding the inside of the lugs over time.

Yes definitely a consideration over time. I'm not too fussed about the inside of the lugs but if you are, this is a deal breaker for this bracelet.
