I would personally avoid UV powder in a restoration such as this. Having a sixty year old watch light up like a modern dive watch when entering an unlit corridor just seems wrong to me. I'll be reluming some hands on an equally old watch soon and I've thought of using some ground up radium lume for that job. If I chicken out I'll have to source some non-luminous fine powder instead to give the correct look.
Well, we are leaving the thread and my original question...
I have no experience with UV powder, but was told that that it doesn't glow, but is only visable under UV light, just like radium would be.
