Do Omega's go up in value?

1) Financially, for me it's an irrelevant question. I've spent the money on a watch - if all goes well in life I won't sell, the kids can worry about that value.

2) The value in my knowing smile looking down at what I have strapped on or down the line something the kids may take pride in wearing to remember their grumpy old man... priceless.

Some may go up, hold their price or more generally go down. Generally your talking umpteen years if in fashion and by then, see point 1)

Was half watching an auction online today just to see what the market was like. Every Omega (there were about five) was passed on apart from a 33.3 in pretty poor (or patinated, if you like mould) state, which went just below the estimate range. But so were the Rolexes, including a 1993 steel Datejust. I didn’t think they were overpriced.

I’m intrigued to see how Fellows’ next auction goes, because the starting bids seem to be on a par with dealer retail on Chrono 24 in some cases, though not all.

I'm 90% in the watch nerd camp who enjoys these trinkets for their design and functionality.

But the other 10% of me does secretly enjoy the way my little collection is increasing in value versus other things I could splurge on. Now, excuse me - I must go update my personal article policy to reflect this month's price changes...

Yes and no. While it will bend into a nice flowing curve, it doesn't have any give to it, so it's not going to twist any appreciable amount like a BOR bracelet will.
Good to know, thanks 👍 At least it reaffirms me to not pay the 600$ people usually asked for it. Maybe one day if one comes quite cheap (better sooner than later, my GMT's strap is getting old 😁)

BTW I never answered to the OP...
Apparently, Speedy Reduced now sell for 2-2.5x what I paid 7 years ago. During the same time, the value of a De Ville GMT did not change much... Luckily I got it at half the market price by then so I would still make some money 😁
But I bought them because I like them, not because it would be financially interesting. Plenty of things I will sell before those 2, if one day I have to

I bought mine new after I bought the watch and I don't remember how much it was, but it was more than $600. It's not exactly uncomfortable, but it is heavy.
