    I've been looking for a 2254.50 that I can buy locally in Toronto Canada for years already and can't find one in decent condition for less than $ 4,000. While I will keep my eyes open, I want buy myself a new watch to reward myself for patience and perseverance.

    Trying to keep the budget at $3,000 and wanted to get some suggestions at what to look at that would be similar to the 2254.50 in size, thickness and overall "look"

    Appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.

    Thanks @dsio, this watch would do fine but are very rare and hard to find.

    @Dan S yes, Canadian funds

    my issue with the newer Seamasters isnthey are too thick. I like thinner watches.

    Are you a member of canwatchco.ca? It’s a good spot for watches (and banter) in the great white north

    But why you want to buy locally? Why don't you buy on ebay or chrono24? I am sure that you will find your watch for less than 3000 CAD in good condition.

    Are you open to other brands? There are some very nice sub-40mm divers out there from less prolific brands, even microbrands.

    My yard work/gym watch is a Hamilton diver (albeit quartz) that’s 37mm and it’s outstanding.

    I was not clear .... yes I am wide open to other brands. I love my 3 Seamasters, the the new ones are too big on my wrist.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I just looked quickly at the Hamiltons. They are quite nice. Like them more than the Seikos.

    I went down this rabbit hole a year ago, looking for pretty much the same thing. (I was looking at quartz and auto divers 40mm and under, under around $1k.)

    Ended up with the Hamilton and am very happy with it. But also looked at (if I recall—there were several dozen brands) Yema, Scurfa, Seiko (of course), Vaer… once you start Googling you’ll be spoiled for choice.
