When cleaning away mold from a old piece of unfinished leather I intend to use for a watch strap I had no ballistol so I first cleaned with warm water let dry then wiped it down with alcohol and let dry. That had looked like it did the trick but a few weeks later traces of mold again showed up.
I then Wiped with alcohol and let soak in alcohol for a hour or so, then put the square of leather on the hood of the car on a very hot sunny day. After an hour or so I moved the leather to the dash of the car with the windows up and left it there for several days, turning it over now and then. No sign of mold returning in the year or so since then.

Easy. Buy a new one.
If need be I would have but I’ve only worn this one a few times after buying it from a member here so I was hoping to avoid that

Oh man. I would hit it with alcohol and let it sit in the sun.
Good advice for many of us in these trying times.
I'll try this on the missus....
