Still waiting to hear back with the details on what the repair would actually involve and how we’d move forward if I decide to go that route.
It will be like any warranty repair. Not sure what you are expecting but you send it in, they will repair it, and send it back.

Maybe OP had a terse written exchange with Omega (I know, uncharacteristic of OP, but hear me out) and when he/she didn't get his/her opinions validated, threatened the Omega rep with bad internet reviews. And here we are....

Shit happens, @TheChosen1!. It sucks, absolutely. I had a similar experience 12 months ago but with a 2023 Tudor BB Chrono. In around the same value as your watch (a tad less expensive, perhaps) and I opined about it here and on Canadian Watch Collector. In retrospect I perhaps beaked off about it more than necessary but for those willing to indulge my bitching, I welcomed the feedback. The thing about OF is first and foremost it is a community of watch-loving folks who have forgotten more about timepieces than you and I will every know. And they share their knowledge. I'm not telling you 'say thank you' (let's leave that to point-scoring politicians), but at the very least, you are dealing with pros who are giving you the straight goods. On their time.

In my situation, the RSC in Toronto 'worked' to make me happy. I wasn't (for good reason, in my view). I likewise expected more for my money, even though it was ‘only’ $7000 CDN. Yes that's a poop-ton of cash to most people, and a pittance to others. But luxury pricing for a watch it ain't. For collectors of true luxury timepieces like PP, VC, Lange, AP or others like De Bethune, say, hats off to them! I'm not there and never will be but my watches are nevertheless 'priceless' to me. I buy what I love and can afford. Moving on.

The difference was my chrono hand was fine until it was sent in to Tudor/RSC for another issue needing addressing. Once it returned from that service the chrono never aligned again. Whatever. It went back to the RSC in Toronto three times (I’m on the West Coast) and each time it came back it wasn’t fixed/aligned - it was worse! Yet RSC technicians insisted it was ‘within Tudor spec’. I was bitterly disappointed as I wanted to love this watch. Was I too obsessive? Maybe, but misalignment is glaringly obvious on the arrow-tipped Tudor chrono hand. And it was off a smidge more than @Archer kindly articulated above.

What's my point? Hell if I know! While I can sympathize with your situation, it sounds like you definitely won as Al mentioned. Good for you. Omega stepped up. Good brands do that. I was left with a watch that bugged the hell out of my until I traded it in on one I love. Again. You. Won.

Cute theory, but I don’t need to generate posts or take a loss to entertain you. If you think calling people “Karen” passes for wit, you’ve probably been staring at your own reflection on the caseback too long.

I’ll manage fine without your charity offer - though it’s touching how eager you are to scoop up something “beneath your standards” for peanuts. Says a lot more about you than about me.
Tut tut. Where did I say ‘beneath my standards’? Is putting out all these fires you are starting taking its toll. Grow up and move on. Or just move on. Wanker.

Whew!

Banned on WUS and digging yourself in deeper over here.

Yet, Terry Jackson the Chosen1 is not the problem. It is everyone else.

Yes! Please moderators, lock this thread. Having OCD results in always being right with yourself, but it CAN get very lonely! While the OP avers that he is learning a lot about those who post in reply to his problem, his very opening post tells us everything there is to know about him!

Here’s arguably the most expensive (steel) 3861. Not enough to trigger even MY ocd.

We had this issue with a Speedster purchased for my Son a few years ago. We took it back to the AD and they sent it back to the Omega service centre, they aligned it and all has been well since. Its a common problem (I have seen it on Rolex Daytona watches) with a very easy fix.

You sly fox. You're trying to make this about dogs (and their zippers), when it's clearly about chrono seconds hand re-set positions (and cats).

Man I left this thread yesterday on page 3 thinking it was already beat to a pulp and done.

OP what do you have to lose by sending it in to Omega to let them make the adjustment you seek? Give them a chance to turn your disappointment into a win. It will feel positive and so much better!

You will still have the option to sell it, but you will also have the option to try and enjoy it after your issue is corrected and put the bad feelings behind you.

After 7 pages I want a happy ending 😆. Send it in and maybe when it comes back you will change your mind about Omega.

IMO Omega’s very long history speaks volumes about how well they take care of customers. Let them prove it to you then enjoy that Speedy! 😎🍻

Disclaimer: I read page 1 and then skipped to page 7 because... well, come on.

Did anyone else think OP is having ChatGPT write their posts for them?

Yes—posts littered with em dashes.

Alright, I think this is a good place to wrap it up. To those who actually engaged in good faith - the people who offered insight, shared experience, and pointed out things worth keeping in mind - genuinely, thank you. I learned a few things, and I’ll give credit where it’s due.

To the rest of you - the ones who clearly live here, circle the same tired talking points, and think snark passes for substance - you’ve been a masterclass in how not to have a discussion. It’s genuinely impressive how much hostility some of you can squeeze into a hobby forum about watches.

I still might take Omega up on the adjustment; maybe it comes back perfect and I fall back in love with it. Maybe it comes back worse, and I sell it to fund an IWC and a Breitling just to keep the drama alive. Either way, I’ll be fine.

Big takeaway? Some of you take this forum way too seriously. God bless - I sincerely hope you get to keep posting here forever so the rest of us can remember what happens when passion forgets perspective.

Cheers.

I know this thread is winding down now, but for anyone on the hunt for a watch that has passed the most rigorous qc standards, might I suggest…

You will find no misalignments.

Most likely using AI for the posts here. You can tell by the structure and rhythm of the responses, in addition to the em dashes.

Goodbye ChatGPT. You are much better at making inferences based on language than calculating math and other symbolic manipulation tasks.
