Send the watch to me.

I'll take care of it for you.

I had the bezel replaced on my co-axial Speedmaster when I got it. The dent was more massive that yours and I just can’t live with that stuff. Check out an Omega Boutique as they are generous with warranty repairs. A new bezel, installed, was $187 for me.

Remember to remind them that the washer ring (unseen) under the bezel may also be damaged and is NOT part of the bezel itself. When they order parts they must order that washer ring desperately. My guys didn’t and it took an extra week to get it to finish the repairs.

If the bezel insert is ceramic (e.g. CK2998), would it be easy to replace the steel bezel frame or would that be considered part of the case?

If your eye is drawn to the ding each time you look at the watch and it lessens your enjoyment, then replace it. If you can relegate it to "ongoing patina" status, leave it. That small ding and the many others it will accumulate will be addressed properly at your first full service and you will regain the joy of a relatively unblemished watch. Omega generally does a pretty through job, mechanically and cosmetically. It's about perspective.

Guys ... this thread is almost 2 years old, I think OP probably made his choice by now 😗

But yeah, +1 leave it. If your watch is not a super rare vintage model, or you don't intend to resell any time soon dings are no biggies.

Buy a bezel and keep it. When this dent starts annoying you a lot, just replace it.

I was asking about ceramic bezels in particular as they are probably more brittle than your standard aluminium ones

Anyway rang the OB and got my answer. Basically LE bezels have to be sent back to HQ and swapped out there. Ceramic bezels cost 2.5x that of aluminium and they won’t sell the bezel outer ring alone.

Right....

"All was going fine until Todd reached up his hand to give a pat and Mr.Skippy spotted the Speedmaster on his arm."

One of the funniest posts that I’ve read in some time. Well done, sir.

Slap a “FLY NAVY” bumper sticker on that ding.

My beloved 2007 Ford Police Interceptor was rear ended in a Dunkin’ Donuts drive through a few days ago...and I can’t stand to see the ding...but no worries...my almost 35 year old “FLY NAVY” bumper sticker saved the day.

Anyway, I bet you can find a really, really small “FLY NAVY” bumper sticker somewhere on the internet.

Words of wisdom. I totally agree with this
