Different movements?

Hi all,
Could someone please tell me if buying an older 345.0808 with the 863 movement any better or worse than a new speedy with the 1863 movement? As you can tell I’m new to these real watches! And all the numbers are a bit baffling.

No - other than being older (and possibly may have wear in the movement) there isn't much real difference.
