Difference between Chopard and LU Chopard

Hi All

Asking a very basic question.

What is the difference between Chopard and LU Chopard. I understand that LU Chopard is a part of Chopard but why the difference in brand name?

The LUC watches are the higher end products from Chopard. LUC coming from the name of the founder...Louis-Ulysse Chopard. These are in contrast to the "Happy Diamonds" ladies quartz, Mille Miglia watches, etc. These are very good quality watches.
