Hi forum friends.
A popular and respected collector has had two lovely watches stolen on a recent flight into Hong Kong.
He is not active on this forum but runs a couple of collectors groups and I have met him at several GTG.
Please note the information below and spread the word. The watch community in Hong Kong is also on alert to try and get these back.
If you notice anything please message me or contact him via Instagram. The only positive from these events is how well the community reacts and all pull together in these upsetting situations.
Thanks for reading.

That’s incredibly frustrating, sorry to see it happen, best to get the serials into stolen watch databases to make them harder to sell and hopefully an honest person will notice them if they see them listed somewhere

I hope this story turns out well. I imagine that including the watch info as text in addition to the images will allow someone to find it if they are googling serial #’s

That's really unfortunate. I feel like we had another thread about someone having a watch stolen on a flight. Seems strange, but maybe people let down their guard when on a plane.

It’s probably when people are sleeping.

Sad news. A friend of @Omegafanman is a friend of mine. I have some friends in Hong Kong I will forward the pictures to them. I’m flying early December think I’ll just wear my seiko 809 I get really bummed about lost/stolen watches.

So some good news for the weekend. Thanks to the community spreading the info far and wide he has one of the watches back on his wrist...
Shows there are lots of good watch people out there 'watching out' for each other as well :0)
Fingers crossed he can get the Chopard back to.

That’s wonderful news. Did he have to buy the watch back?

I think there was some compensation to help the last person in the chain who was ultimately a victim as well. Main thing is he got it back.
