Difference between 168.005 and 167.005 crystals?

Hi there,

just wondering if anyone can explain the differences between the PZ5014 and PZ5015 crystals. The 15 is for the 168.005 and the 14 for the non date version (167.005). I know that both are 30.6mm diameter, but if anyone knows the height for each pls let me know - and also why they are different! Wondering if someone like @Archer might be able to help? Cheers!

Anyone have any idea about this? My main question is why there’s a different crystal for the refs in the first place when they use the same case.

I wonder if since the 168 has a calendar, it would have a magnifying cyclops while the 167 does not have a calendar and would have no magnification. If you hate the cyclops, as some do, you could use the 167 crystal in the 168.

Cyclops version is identified by the L at the end of the part number. Single “L” is for date, “LL” is for day & date. There must be another difference between the two crystals mentioned above.

Thanks. So it seems that the date version will fit on the non date, but not the other way round (due to the clearance)
