Didn't expect to see a decently priced Hodinkee watch ever, but...

Their latest collaboration that was posted today looks great, and seems to be really decent value at $500. Mind you I don't have $500 to put towards one, but I can't imagine that the 1500 they have available will sit around for very long. I like it:

I like this also. Not interested enough to buy it but I agree it seems like one of their better offerings.

Don’t think I could ever wear a watch that has “Hodinkee New York” on the dial.

very interesting. I'd like to see a lume shot.

From the write-up: "There's not a date window in sight, nor any application of lume, and there's no excessive or loud elements meant to distract or call undue attention to the watch."

I guess they wanted it to be completely under the radar old school/retro...but the Hodinkee New York on the dial is distracting IMO

I can see the team meeting before me right now, after the awful travel clock fiasco ( where are all those secondary sales? 🙄 ) their brief to create something both uncontroversial looking and cheap that can give no-one any cause for complaint.

I wouldn't buy it, but I find it mildly attractive apart from the Hodinkee on the dial and I think the price is very friendly indeed.

I’m a sucker for grey anything, so that grey dial does it for me. Although Hodinkee do cop a lot of flak, some of their collaborations are to die for.

Ah, only if I bought that Heuer Skipper when I had the chance.

Nice looking watch. Would have been classier if the Merci Paris - Hodinkee New York was more discreet (say, in white font like the rest of the dial). The way it currently is the effort on branding is too obvious.

Agree completely. Were I to review it publicly, I'd note that the project fairly screams damage control. And I agree with @Deafboy - the branding is eye-catching, in the worst possible sense. And how ironic...

Agree on all comments here. They almost had go buy it til I noticed the hodinkee. For that, if only it was only priced a bit lower.

I also like the white and black better but no applied numerals.

It's the Hodinkee tag that puts me off, otherwise a pretty watch 👍
