Interesting, it's still a spectacular piece though. The new pics are even better than the old ones.

As this is not an auction now, maybe it's a case of the seller just listing it immediately after purchase at a very high price, wearing it in the meantime until someone bites?
I knew a guy who would do the exact thing with cars. The day he bought them, he immediately listed them again for a considerable amount more than what he paid. Drove them in the meantime until someone bit and paid.
