Did Omega make these with a 16-millimeter internal width?
if so, do they still sell them, or perhaps a modern equivalent that has the same kind of double buckle shape?

No these are 14mm, and I've never seen vintage 16mm in this style, if you want I can sell you some with NOS JB 19mm to 14mm straps

Good luck, unicorns exist in the Omega world, there might as well be an 16mm they made and put on a small run watch that might surface one day

Thank you, but realistically I probably need to find an alternative double buckle, are there any other styles you can think of that Omega made?
It would be nice if it was period specific 1960s/early 70s preferably..

I’ve got several of these in a bag, I’ll check what I have.

That is so funny.. I bought exactly this buckle, from exactly this website..😁😁😁
..and I'm using it temporarily with Omega spring bars of course..
It was about two dollars delivered, I don't know how they do it😕
bead blasted, the quality is really surprisingly good, even if it were 10 times the price.

We probably have a very similar taste, I bought from them as well, looks great at 14mm - I personally favor 14mm more

By the way you shared the fat 14mm buckle, there's also a slim 14mm buckle Omega made that's basically the Aliexpress buckle but with the Omega logo

Yes, very similar tastes.. I tested the AliExpress buckle for its robustness and it's surprisingly sturdy..
Guilty pleasure: I also make my own belts using the same kind of double belt buckles, I buy from a leather trade suppliers on the Dalston Islington borders called J. T. Batchelor, I've not been there for a while but I did also buy some replacement small brass twin buckles for my old NOS vintage twin strap military boots some time ago.

I've done loads of waste belts, but I've never actually done any watch straps.. I should think about giving it a go

Beautiful!

Why do you specifically want 16mm as a man of taste by the way? Regular 18mm 19mm sizes taper to 14mm better in my opinion, looks more elegant - I find tapering to 16mm make small vintage watches appear even smaller
