Yes agreed, for the most part, larger straps can really over power smaller watches..
It's actually for a 20mm lug, on a 42 mm CB (slim case) 67 Seamaster 300.
I'm using a 20mm tropic diver type strap that tapers down to 16mm which seems to work really well with the proportions.
