Did Longines make a 900* ref date-at-12 Conquest Calendar?

An interesting dial popped up on eBay this week. It looks like a 9004 reference Conquest Calendar dial, except with the date at 12 rather than 3. Similar to the later references with a 291 caliber with date at 12.

Some Googling brought me to this thread. Same seller, same dial - he’s been trying to sell it since 2013 I guess. Price is steep so not a surprise.

This obviously very much resembles the Longines Conquest Heritage introduced in 2014. So the question is - did Longines actually make these in the 50s? If so, any examples?

This one has a 9026 case with a 291 movement. It looks like it's been repainted but the markers and date window are similar so it could be an early transitional model 7d4a8490-af02-49e4-a86a-34aa1f1d8ecb.jpg

Thanks for sharing. Hard to draw many conclusions off that but interesting possibility that these may have come in 902* reference cases..?

So quick point. I have the below conquest heritage. While I was looking for it I found a vintage one that looked the same as mine with a 12 date window. It was a legitimate watch and I can’t remember if it said calendar on it. Then while watching reviews on the conquest heritage, each one said that the 12 date window is only on modern versions as the vintage has a 3 date window. I have seen both.

honestly, people need to research vintage pieces before posting vids.
Only reason I didn’t get the vintage one is it was missing half the movement. 373888AF-7471-403F-B3BC-7EBBCB404549.jpeg

    1) the dial absolutely appears to be original

    2) it must, therefore, be an exceedingly rare variation
