Longines Conquest cal. 291 Date at 12 with Scalloped Crown
at a glance
Conquest ref. 9024
- serial no. 1114xxxx dates back to ca. 1959
- cal. 291
- original dial with stainless steel markers and stainless steel hands
- solid steel case (35 mm without crown)
- signed original rare Longines scalloped crown
- gold medallion on caseback "Fish in Kelp" Longines Seal of Quality
- new quality Rios leather strap (lamb skin)
the dial
The original sunburst dial of this Conquest is in excellent condition without any damage or blemishes- simply beautiful. Dial and hands still have it's original lume which has aged nicely to a golden brown patina. It's one of the rarer date at 12 variations of this watch only produced during a short period of time.
the case
The stainless steel case is in very good condition wmwithout any dings or dents. All edges and chamfers are still present. There are only superficial scratches.
The caseback shows some light scratches. The gold medallion on the back "fish in kelp" still holds all of it's enamel. One of the "greenest" fishs around.๐
the movement
Clean Longines in-house caliber ref. 291. The watch winds and sets very smooth and the movement is running strong, but there is no known service history and therewith it would benefit from a fresh clean and oil if you want to wear it regularly.
the strap
The Conquest comes on a new high quality Rios lamb skin strap.
the price
I am asking 975 EUR OBO (or the equivalent in USD) to me for this nice Longines (that's basically 50% of what is asked today for a Polerouter or one of the rarer Connies in similar condition).
Bankwire is preferred, paypal please add 4% (payment to be done in Euro please).
The watch and I are located in Germany. I will be happy to work out the best shipping option with you. Free signed and insured EMS shipping is included. FEDEX and UPS can be checked depending on location.
I have references here on OF, on German watch forums and a lot of positive feedback on ebay.

Please have a look at the pictures and feel free to answer to this thread or PM me directly if you have any questions. No returns unless condition of the watches is grossly misrepresented.
Thanks for looking!๐ and also many thanks to OF for the space!
