@ndgal knows his homework, the dial has one easy to spot charactaristic which you can say at least 95% it will be a "special" dial.
More like 100%... 😉

It’s in range for a soliel dial which are 50-60k in this condition based on recent sales. Assume you 1/2 the price for a possibly wrong cb it’s still 25k and it was purchased for 12...
12 is what a nice EW sells for nowadays... this was an absolute steal. I know of people asking for over 60k€ for theirs...

It’s the same dial as mine but looks slightly nover, would definitely love to buy another at that price

Are the Soleil dials a late ‘60s thing? If so the caseback is definitely wrong since the -65 model Ed White wasn’t made by HF. Perhaps a replacement as suggested above. Not that it matters since it was very cheap even as a parts watch. Nice dial!

Seller clearly didn't know he literally gave this watch away...

Literally? I don't think so...

I am amazed at the premium on these dials in such bad condition. I can understand buying a mint one, but most of these look a mess to me?

Ever seen a watch with that finish in person? They are stunning and rare. A few other manufacturers had them in the late 60’s, I’m assuming they are all Singer made dials.

I am not sure I have, but I don’t think I could get past the flaky lume and scratches on some of those pics if $30-60k is the price point. Beautiful but ruined equals ruined in my book, rare or not.
