There is going to be a few rather disappointed when they find out that the LE amount made is going to be a hell of a lot more than 2000 as most have been over the last few years.

As I wrote before...
A quick overview of the numbers produced past "special" anniversary Apollo 11 editions:
20 years A11 = 2000 numbered + 4000 unnumbered... classic look Speedmasters
25 years A11 = 2500 numbered + 999 for Italian market ... classic look Speedmasters ( + 500 White Gold & 50 Skeleton pieces )
30 years A11 = 9999 unnumbered special logo caseback classic look Speedmasters
35 years A11 = 3500 Silvery white dial special logo caseback
40 years A11 = 8000 black dial with Apollo 11 logo & special logo caseback, among which 69 Platinum versions
45 years A11 = 1969 brushed Titanium browwnish dial Speedmasters
...
So every A11 anniversary there were large numbers produced (between 2000 and 9999 time pieces)
I guess the 50 years A11 will be a mix... betting on the numbers 69, 1969 and maybe even 5000 ?

Anything more than 1969 is wrong

If they really do something revolutionary, much nearer to 1969 Speedmaster watch, then 1969 numbers would create stampede!! Even 5000 would look reasonable numbers then.

I hope they goof up this time. I have bought 3 Omega watches in last 10 months. My financial calculations would be under stress if I’m compelled to buy another in next 6 months.

Anything that maximizes profit for Omega, such as:

7 platinum LEs
21 gold LEs
256 GMT LEs
1969 Steel LEs with mission patch
Unlimited Steel NE (Numbered Edition - a la FOIS) without mission patch 😀

Great, the Apollo 11 50th will be 2 heads on 1 bracelet. 🤦 Can see Omega being attracted by the extra revenue though.

How about 1,969 Aldrin watches (in gold), 1,969 Armstrong watches (in platinum), and 1,969 Collins watches (bicolour). And, just for good measure, 5,000 steel ‘standard’ version. All with a fancy caseback and patch.

Alternatively, a ceramic version of the Moonwatch.

Checking the Omega marketplace, we've got an Apollo 13 45th anniversary going for $24K and a Tin Tin at $9K. Really makes me wonder with the Apollo 11 50th will be valued at in a few years time?

NAFTA?
NAFTA = North America Free Trade Agreement

Covers the US, Mexico and Canada.

Will soon be replaced by USMCA if approved.

Depends on how it will look like... something we currently don't know at all ... hoping for another retro revival with DON bezel and drop end chronograph hand

And somewhere in the back of beyond the news of another Speedmaster special edition shatters the zen-like calm of a departed OF member....

Given the difficulty of obtaining recent Speedy LEs, a bigger number may not be such a bad thing.

It’s a perception of difficulty
