·Hello OF Folks !
I am searching for a nice Dog Leg Connie, that could be either SS or GC.
I understand that date models are no so much in favor currently, though I quite like the aesthetic of a date window to complement a dial.
Having said that, the question is about the usage of a date version on vintage watches that one is not likely to wear every day, so this means updating the date on a regular basis, and then the pain to grasp and operate a decagonnal crown , and in the worst cases, make a up to complete month turn ! Seems the best option would be to go for a 564 "quick set date", but then I read the comments from Desmond saying that this quick set system is quite fragile, and the later versions (starting which year ??) have been improved and should be preferred.
Thanks for your (always) valuable comments on this topic ! 👍
