- In Dallas area, is Omega Boutique at Northpark Mall the best place for accessories?
I was considering a leather strap to put on for dressier occasions and then I would leave the rubber strap on for daily usage.
Some background, I purchased the watch about a week ago and it is awesome. It is the 41mm Aqua Terra 220.12.41.21.02.002 and I think the strap is 20mm at the lugs tapering to 18mm with the deployant clasp. I would prefer to keep the deployant clasp, though I am not sure I want to spend $250 for another one so that it is easier to change out from rubber to leather.

Generally, an Omega boutique is the best spot for accessories as they would have the full catalog available to order from. I normally go to the Houston boutique and they'll order accessories for me to see if I like the look or not. Some AD's require full purchase first before they order.

I've had good luck with that boutique. They've always had what I was looking for in stock. Post pictures once you swap it out....

I have bought straps at the boutique. I have also bought a very nice leather one from here:
https://www.genteel-handmade.com/collections/omega-style-deployant-watch-straps

It may be a bit more, but you can get the exact color combinations you want. There are many options besides the boutique for straps, and some make them specifically to fit an omega deployant. I liked the white stitching on the black leather. You can also pick the color for the lining so lots of options.

Please post some pictures when you decide on something, Love to see what you choose.

Quick question about the spring bars. If I buy something from Genteel handmade, would I need to order new 20mm spring bars from Omega to make sure that it fits snugly on the case?

I use my Omega spring bars made for straps on my Speedmaster with the Genteel. He supplies spring bars too - but I always use Omega ones.

Cost of a Genteel strap depends on what material you specify. If you pick one in the wide selection of calf & goat leathers the cost is about 150 Euros, crocodile more. But I think the quality is better than what you get from Omega. And as you state you get to specify the material type, surface texture, stitching and lining colors. I've ordered about six different straps from Genteel and have never been disappointed. Order today and you'll get your strap delivered by DHL in about four weeks. If you go with an Omega branded strap your selection is pretty limited to just a couple of colors.

Here are a few.
1. Dark green small scale croc with orange stitching on an ST2 Ultraman (light brown lining)
2. Brown Palmellato goat racing strap on an ST1 (green lining, just because)
3. Charcoal Maya leather on a Japan Racing (light brown lining)
4. Blue Saffiano goat on a 1973 Mark II (grapefruit lining)

All a huge improvement from what I could get from Omega.

All very nice! The red stitching with the Ultraman is my fav. Good example of what you can do with all the color choices.

Omega has 3 spring bar options for a size.

strap

bracelet

curved.

You would know if you need curved. Generally it’s for some (not all) pass through or nato type straps.

@Evitzee - I love those pictures! I am a University of Miami alum and I think the green leather with orange stitching would really jazz up my Aqua Terra!

Did change to a simple leather strap from Etsy (VildBoyz from UK) with aftermarket clasp just to see if I liked it. Think I may like the OEM rubber strap fit a little better. Will try a Genteel handmade strap next, should be more comfortable. Just wanted to see how easy it was to change straps. Used Bergeon 7767-F, OF spring bars, and painter's tape on a soft cloth and it turned out fine!
