·At some point yes, but not the part that is connected to the links - the ones that connect to the spring bars. Now it's around 13mm (used to be 18mm I think)

·I've seen so many nice bracelets "go to waste" due to endlinks are either broken or too short, maybe for someone who has the tools/making bracelets it is a relatively easy job to do.
