Cushion? Case

Hy everyone,

I'm curious if this is also referred to as a cushion case or if someone has a few infos about these.

I searched the internet a couple of days now and wasn't finding too much.

I don’t know the reference, but I think this is what is referred to as a tonneau case, rather than cushion case. Happy to be corrected, though!

Note that the date listed for the serial number starting with 7,000,000 is incorrect. It should read "1930", not 1920. That taken with the case serial number of 8.3M means that your watch was likely produced in the very early 1930's.

I think a more accurate name for this case shape would be "tonneau". Someone sold one with a very similar case here a few years ago:

The English translation for the French word tonneau is BARREL! This is not a barrel shape, either, to my way of thinking.

Depends on what sort of barrel you're thinking of.

It probably derives from this shape.
