Hi OF,

I'm trying to find the correct part number for the crystal of a Seamaster Cosmic 2000 - 166.0218

Here's a picture of the same model watch from the interwebs.

Can someone help me out with the part number? Also, I'm assuming I should be looking for the crystal with the yellow gilt ring, right, or does it matter?

EDIT: Found the crystal. All I need now is the crown. However, it seems there are 2 different crowns for this case:

4.5MM X 2.75MM TUBE 2mm
4.0MM X 2.85MM TUBE 2mm

Can someone confirm the correct crown size for the watch pictured below?

Thanks for any help!

Crystal with a yellow tension ring is PX5249.
Silver one is PZ5249.

Awesome!

Just curious…is there a reason to choose the yellow ring over the silver?

Thanks again!

The yellow ring has much greater holding power and also imbues the movement with incredible anti-magnetic properties.

😉

Gold or gold plated watch, or a dial with gold hands/indexes = yellow (gold) ring.
Stainless steel with silver hands/indexes = silver ring.

Hahaha! In that case, I’ll take two of each!

So, silver tension ring for my version then.

Thanks again!
