Thanks a lot! Now this won’t be easy to find though…
Is there a brand doing generic crystals that does a better job than the others? 😁

By the way, how do we know from those charts if there are supposed to be tension rings and what colour it should be?

for example, I noticed some of my favorite references share the same crystal, the 5005 (2639/50, 2937/38, 2990/96). Is the tension ring colour only supposed to match the aesthetics of the watch (gold or silver)?
Thanks again 😀

Tension ring colours match the case. Gold case, "yellow" ring. Steel case, "white" ring...

Hi all, I am struggling to find a (lost) crown for a 14391-8 case... Cousins says it's unavailable, and doesn't report the crown number. The table on 1st page of this thread doesn't show the case reference numbers. Anyone can help me? Thanks a lot.

crown 42055 (thinking that maybe there is an error in the table) has 90 stem, while I have 120 stem measure. Could it be 45003?

062PN1094 is the crystal for this watch, and yes OD is 31.4. Note that this is not a tension ring crystal, so it is not pressed in. The OD of the crystal is collapsed slightly in order to get it installed.

Hi all!
I finally got my hands on a 062PN1094 from Perrinwatchparts and it doesn’t fit on a 2383/2400 case. it is wider than the previous crystal installed, almost 31.7 and flatter (2.85mm vs 3,35 announced).
They told me before the order it was their last one and that the blister had been opened for pictures purposes but it seems quite different from what I expected.

and of course it won’t fit neither a 2383 or a 2400 case :/

I did send them an email with my measurements, I’ll see what they say.
But as I measure it with my digital caliper at 31.68, there is no way it can be the right one is there?
Here what it looks like :

And the previous one :

is there a digital copy of these reference guides? i feel like an accessible, searchable digital document will answer a good deal of the questions that pop up in this forum.

A lot of the PDF scans have been OCR converted. Not always the easiest thing to search as the source often comes from a fax or some other sheet feedeer what can cause sections to distort.
Photographing the pages on the ref manuals often leaves the curve of the page.
OCR is pretty common these days. It was pretty well worked out in the late 1980s. Even more so in the 1990s when autocorrect became the normal. With AI it can get pretty close although 99.999 percent still leaves a lot of errors.
