Cost of a new Speedmaster case?

Anyone know what a new Speedmaster case runs for a 145.022? I need to ask my watchmaker (Omega certified, parts account, etc.) but he’s a bit of a hike from me, so I thought I’d ask here first. 😉

For background, I got the deal of a lifetime on a 145.022 years ago, but the lugs are probably 1/3 as thick as they should be. The watch works great, but I can’t stop noticing the lugs these days and am wondering what it would cost to replace the case all together. The beautiful, distinctive lines are hardly there. Fully plan to keep the existing case back if possible, and realize there’d be labor costs involved, too.

Hi

Around 800$ more or less for the older models,, but the can go up to 1500 for the complete case for recent models.

Going to suggest those prices are a bit out of date...

Got a quote from the Swatch Service Center on this yesterday: a new case for a 145.022 costs $2,515. 😵 This was for my 1980s-era Speedmaster.

You could have it laser-welded and refinished for probably around $1,000.
I have done the same to a Baby Ploprof I had by Vint Watches in Germany.
Here is a link to a video of the restaurarion:

Wondering how much cheaper it would have been if you asked 5 years ago?

I wondered that, too. I am pretty sure they were going for $800ish around 2018 from other posts I’ve read online.

Fortunately, I didn’t end up needing the new case, but thought I’d share the updated price in case it helps anyone else out.

The bracelet for my particular 145.022,
020STZ004193, is now going for $1,030.

Having a great experience with Swatch’s Service Center so far… makes owning an Omega long-term a very nice experience with how pleasant they are to work with.
