I gotta admit, this thread got me curious so I switched to the other hand and it felt like a stranger was wearing my watch.

Try winding a speedmaster on the wrist when it's on your right arm........

See.

Maybe not what the OP had in mind, but if I remember correctly, Omega's bumper watches wind optimally if worn on the left wrist. Just a fun fact. 😀

Maybe people who wear their watches on their right are are members of a strange Masonic cult or even something more sinister. Just look in their eyes the next time you see someone wearing their watch the wrong way and report back. Good hunting.

I was at a family get together recently and one of my nephews got his grandfathers omega as a present. He was wearing it on his right arm and I told him I thought it was on the wrong arm . This led to a discussion about which is the correct arm to wear your watch on. To me it is always the left arm for ease of winding and reading the time. Any opinions would be great full.

It should have been a short discussion, left wrist for a right hander.

Fascinating! Did you also experience any sort of phantom watch syndrome or the sensation of smelling burnt toast? We could be on the cusp of a discovery here... perhaps some inverse corollary of the rubber hand illusion!

I've often tried to train myself to getting used to a watch on my right arm (its thicker so I can wear a bigger watch), but try as I might it just feels odd.

I've given up now and got used to simply having chicken left arm syndrome and just buy watches to suit

A corollary of Murphy's Law: whichever wrist has the watch will be the wrist to hit the door knob.

People who work at nuclear power plants often wear their watch on the third arm that grows out of their back. That way the watch isn't as likely to be damaged and its convenient to just hang the third arm over their shoulder where the eye growing on their cheek can check the time.

Just don't wear it on the wrist of the hand you pick your nose with, no sense drawing more attention than necessary.

Desk diving is hard when you where it on your dominant hand, which in my case is my right.

Neither arm is correct.

Just man up and wear it [correctly] as a belt/belt buckle...

I am a left handed guy, no question for me to wear my watch on the right arm !
Otherwise, writing is a little bit tricky 😀

I always find it odd if someone who isn’t a lefty wears his watch on the right arm, but I think there is no „right or wrong“ here. Wear it where ever it suits you.

Except if a person wears his watch face down, then they loose all credibility with me.
What's the point of a display back if you don't wear it upside down?
