Yeah, it's a puzzle, ain't it? Kinda wish I'd gone with the "broke my wrist" story like @ioaniro did before me. 😬

I always find it odd if someone who isn’t a lefty wears his watch on the right arm, but I think there is no „right or wrong“ here. Wear it where ever it suits you.

Except if a person wears his watch face down, then they loose all credibility with me.
Unless they where in the navy especially Submarines. Example Jimmy Carter.

It’s funny I was watching an interview of him and saw his watch and blurted our “ huh I didn’t know he was a submariner” at which point 4 of 5 friends went huh how did you know that and argued with me ( I did not tell them how as I was letting them google it) My 5th friend a watch guy stayed silent and finally chimed in and said I could tell by how he wore his watch. At that point exaltations of “Nerds” could be heard.

"Hey, if I don't wear it where it's been put I don't get fed! Getting fed is the only reason I put up with this."

"And if I scratch the damn thing............."

I'm a lefty and I have always worn my watch on the left wrist low. Wearing on the right hand feels like putting the left shoe on the right foot.

Some people buy a watch and never wear it. Stored in a safe, soooo it does not matter. Hell some people even drive on the wrong side of the road in some countries. But I do wear it on the left. Even though I oppose the left, I wear it on the left.

Opposite hand you write with. So you don’t scratch the clasp. 😁

I alternate between my arms so that I don't end up with a fiddler-crab physique... guess the side on which this guy wears an Audemars Piguet One-"Pounder"?

(Actually Matthias Schlitte, arm-wrestling champion and cool guy)

Is the OP serious?

He may be serious but it's not a very serious topic.

I'm a lefty as well and only wear my watch on my left wrist. I've tried the right and its odd like a 3 dollar bill.

The right arm has to be the right arm. 😁

Been experimenting with wearing a watch on the right wrist. The muscles and tendons are better developed than the left side.
Some bands fit the right side much better, keeping the watch more stable when moving around a lot.
It is quicker and easier to check the time at a glance in most situations.
Only downside is the fine brushed finish of bracelet and fast fit buckles get marred up by contact with table or laser mouse pad board or other objects the left wrist isn't likely to come in contact with.

BTW
The Timex Fast Fit expansion bands are very convenient, allowing easy adjustments. Found mine NOS on Ebay, I guess these are long discontinued.

I asked my father the same question years ago, and he answered that one should wear your watch on the less active arm to prevent damage. So if your right handed wear it on your left and vice versa.

Left handed and wear it on my left as well. It feels odd wearing it on the right as the crown is on the right as well.
