Well I wasnt replying to you now, was I? Both me and borre clearly said that this wasnt a problem if the seals are in good condition or newly served. So you are just repeating what we said. If you want to argue against physics, good luck with that.
People can reply to whatever they want to, just like when borre replied to me when I wasn’t responding to him.

Regarding seals, yes I’ve been saying that for about 20 years on various forums, debunking people who want to cause fear over water resistance. So we agree, that’s a good thing.

I’ve never argued against physics…

I routinely wear my watches (Omega, Rolex, Christopher Ward) in a 160-180 degree sauna, then plunge in the lake, which is in the 30's-40's this time of year. I do this 2-3 times on sauna days. Will the seals fail? Maybe, but I need the dive bezel to time how long I'm in the sauna and lake.😀

After all is said, and the practice of removing the watch before showering does not hinder my enjoyment of the watch in any way, I'd personally rather not chance it. It might save unnecessary hassle and expense down the road.

I wore my 1st gen Bond Seamaster daily for about 20 years and my current gen for about 3 now. For the record I don't show or sleep with it. Not a single day's regret.

I've worn my green Seamaster that I bought just over a year ago nearly every day. I remove it if it's going to get in the way. I don't understand why you'd spend the money on something and then just let it sit around. In five years I'll get it serviced. No big deal.

When I was in the Navy doing fun things in the water, I wore a GSAR. Twice I broke the bezel on that watch. The Seamaster wouldn't have survived those incidents or most of the other incidental knocks without damage. The ceramic bezel insert - and to a lesser extent, the dial - is absolutely a liability and removes this watch, in my eyes and experience, from contention as a watch I would use if my job put me in the water.
I’m curious, what makes you think it wouldn’t have held up as well as the GSAR?

Been wearing my Speedmaster continuously, by that I mean only taking it off to shower and wind, i.e. 24 hours per day, for 3 years. It literally never leaves my wrists apart from about 10 minutes a day to go in the shower.

Wear your watches every day. Why buy them if you don't wear them?
I’m curious - do you ever swim with it?

I take my watch off to have a shower, not because I'm worried about the watch, more so that I can wash away any accumulated grot from my wrist under it!

There is no doubt the ceramic bezel would've shattered, rendering it useless as a tool. The GSAR remained functional in a reduced status and was cheap and easy to restore to 100% function.
