Good day, I have seen many like the vintage constellations, I do as well fo course, and I have been very lucky to spot one in ashpe last year, which my mom gave to me last X 'mas, I was so amazed and could not be more thankful, unfortunately on the 26th february she died, so this watch can be considered her last present and will be with me forever. That said, back to the watch, I've been unable to open the back therefore I miss the movement view, too bad as I'd really love to see it but i fear to damage the threading so I'll wait for next servicing in order to see it, also because I'd like to learn the exact dating of the watch. It runs very good and I love the face, so clear and bright, looks all original besides the strap, I'd say a very good find and a souvenir of the most important woman of my life!

Hello, sorry for your loss. This Constellation is really a great present and memory. If you intend to wear it regularly I would get it serviced. It's probably a Ref.167005

Thanks guys for your condolences, this year I wore it a lot and it kept a good time, loosing roughly an average of 3 minutes per week which I deem not bad, I plan to service it next year, have a nice day everybody!!

So sorry about the loss of you mother. It’s a wonderful gift and one worth cherishing for life. If you havn’t gotten it serviced yet, it’s worth doing it sooner than later.
These look very smart on the factory 7-row beads of rice bracelet if you want a sportier look and they come up for sale often.

What a nice watch, mid 1960s probably. I understand your reluctance to try opening it as I feel the same way about my watches, I don't want to risk scractching the case back. But it is not good to wear it unserviced as the dried-up lubricants will slowly damage the mechanism! Please find a vintage watch specialist and get it serviced before you wear it again - if you must have a watch on, just buy a Casio or something for the time being. And whatever you do, don't send this one to Omega!

Hi Edward, thanks for your comment, can you please point out why I shall not send it to omega? I would never in anyway, but I am curious to know the reason to avoid them … thanks

I understand, well I have a couple artisans in town that can make good jobs on it, no need to apply to Omega to do that, my DeVille has received good care and I fully trust the guy whi did it, price wise I spent around 220 eur for full service and polishing, fully satisfied with that!

Polishing ? :whipped:
yes I know, bad habit, but it really needed it and the guy respected the brushed and shining surfaces making a nice job, really cannot complain!!
