Constellation pie pan quest

Hi everybody!
I’ve asked on the wrong thread so now I’ll create a new one that might help me and others - what to look for as evidence of authenticity on a constellation pie pan (1950’s-1960’s)? How sharp are the edges on dog legs? Crowns? Hands? Observatories on the back with/without brickwork?
I got a reply that the watches below should be a pass - too much polish, wrong crown, excessive damage - what’s your view on “acceptable” defects? Their influence on the final price?
I’d really like a Connie pie pan but the search is hard.
Constellation Ref 168.005 cal562 and ref 14900 (no cal pictures unfortunately)
First one is 1500€ second one 2100€..
Thank you guys!

How about this for a starting point?

https://omegaforums.net/threads/show-me-your-167-005-or-168-005-connie.124329/

(The two examples you asked about are both doglegs; if you include all 50s/60s pie pan dial Connies in your search, this one might be the better thread for you: https://omegaforums.net/threads/vintage-constellations-show-and-tell.19186/ )

If you search through the forum, you'll find hundreds of Connies being evaluated. All the info is right here, you'd just have to put in a tiny bit of legwork and read through it. 😀 When looking for a specific model, Desmond's blog will also help significantly:

Yes, as above.....one either pays in one's own time or pays money to someone else who used their time to do the research and found what you want to buy.

I’m hoping the cal562 is a typo as this isn’t, generally considered*, a Constellation movt
It should be a 561 or 564.
(* there are supposed to be chronometer grade 562s out there but no-one has presented one here)

From your post I understood that you know for what to look..case edges, polish, dial etc. From my point of view for any vintage watch the dial is the most important part which has to look very good. The rest can be restored more easily.
