You’ll want a thin decagonal crown. 42004 for the crown, 5014 for the plexi.

Sometimes they pop up on EB. Keep eye on Watch Parts and Accesories thread might find OF members clearing out parts it happens.
This is what it looks like. Impossible to wind.

Polywatch to polish the crystal unless really bad (hard to tell) Leave the crown as is. Looks ok and it’s fitted

You would need to buy the new crown, stem and the cost for a watch maker to fit it.

If you’re not going to get the case polished to remove all those scratches. Why bother getting a brand new and shiny crown.

Be aware that crown is perfectly fine for a dog leg of that era. Many prefer the decagonal version from an aesthetic POV but the ridged one was original fit too AFAIK and can actually be used unlike the other which is very tough to get any purchase on. But then again, maybe I would say that...

I have the same reference and found the correct crown on Ebay after some hunting. I just love the look of the original crown with this watch.

Crown's not too bad for setting the watch, but I agree it's almost impossible to hand wind. I had a cheap watch winding tool that works, but I sprung for a Bergeon winder 31409. Has a rubbery elastomer tip that grips the crown without marring it. Only needs a few turns anyway since it's an automatic.

I prefer the decagonal crown and got a cheap automatic watch winder box from china to do the job. It's been 2 months since I got the box and so far so good 😀
