Constellation 2852 2 line?!

Hi all,

Question on the 2852 reference. Been seeing a few with only automatic and chronometer lines.

Safe to assume a redial? I’d expect the officially certified and possible chronometre spelling?

As far as I know the vast majority is with the RE spelling. But a few late examples have ER. There was an example posted somewhere in the middle of the aforementioned 2852 thread with the ER spelling.

The keystone dial from Sweden:

The small arrowheads. 2852-15SC

The large arrowheads on a redial. 2852-53 SC

and just incoming - a steel arrowhead in somewhat beat-up shape, heading for the watchmaker today! 2852-7

This would be a very late Ref. 2852, at least a 16.5M serial number on a cal. 505 movement.

There’s this one from @hoipolloi too in this thread, although no info on the serial, but I would imagine it’s also a very late number.

A word a caution on this one - I saw it auctioned on liveauctioneer last year, was supposedly sold and then reappeared shortly after at a lower (?) price on a website. It has been sitting there for a long time.

Not sure if there is anything wrong with the watch, or the website (which I had never come across)… or the price…

EDIT: just to add, one thing which raises questions about the watch in this thread is the distance between minute hashes and the piepan edge/facet. But if you’re interested, perhaps you can post better pics so it can be properly discussed.
