There are several things I don't like about the last one, too, besides the blemish.

This is what a pie pan looks like originally, and I'm not sure the date surround is an original with your picture.

There are dial variants that have hour markers overlapping the pie pan edge... The date surround looks ok to me. I cannot imagine that this was ever a dome dial, as the edges looks ok to me, as does the finish of the paint. If it were, the hands would have been replaced too, and these look fine, including aged tritium.

I was wondering. Single T and missing hour markers? Is it just a variant or it has been cleaned off?

There are cut-outs in hour markers for lume - these would have had tritium-fuelled lume in them.

That said, I don't care for the (seemingly!) heavy font used for the text on the dial (and I'd like to see "Automatic" be longer), nor that there are no inked markers at the applied hour markers. I'm guessing that it could be a redial - or it could just be the picture quality playing games 馃榾

I don't know all Constellation dial variants, so wouldn't be surprised to learn something new today 馃榿

Sorry!!
I'm not sure you have been ripped off.
Will sit back and see what others have to say about that dial

I have seen the lack of ink at the hour markers before on legit dials. I think picture quality as you say.

Yep, me too. But only as newer references, IIRC.

Well. I saw some similar dials on
I'm back to the "bad pictures" theory 馃榿
I also have seen several same dials at the time I bought this watch. At the same time, I'm no expert. By the way, this is one of my other 168004 with hour markers overlapping the pie pan edge. But again, I'm no expert...

How about this De Luxe 168.014 which also has indices overlapping the piepan edge, and what do I see there peeking out from under some of the indices? Looks like it could be some rogue 5 minute markings to me!

Ah so markings are there but hidden, that makes more sense.
Thanks

Sure - but can you see anything like that on the OP dial? I can't 馃

No I can't either, I was pointing out that only some of the hour markings are visible underneath the indices of the watch I posted, take a look at 11 and 12 'o clock . By that I was pointing out the presence or lack of visible markings peeking out from under the indices neither proves nor disproves the idea of a redial as both are possible

I believe the same thing - you only have to have a look at the one X350 XJR sold to see one completely without them as on the OP's. Completely visible or partly covered markings is what I'd expect to see, hence my initial hesitation.
