Hi all,

I just wanted to share with you my new 168.027.
I was looking for one since few months when it appears.
According to the seller, the watch was bought by his uncle in 1968 in Marseille (France), worn until 72 then put in a safe until few months ago.
When looking at the overall condition, i guess it may be true.

The watch came with box and paper and to me it add sentimental value in that way that I like to imagine M. Candes, back in 68, buying the watch, then living with it.
I know box is not the Constellation box it should be, I guess the jeweler took the first omega box he saws, without thinking it may be an issue for anyone 😀

The lume has a nice and warm yellow patina, case seems unpolished, and is really sharp.
The watch came on an uncommon 1093 bracelet with 515 endlinks, which is a stretch riveted bracelet. Some Member here told me it may have been done by a French contractor.

It seems to works well but I won’t wear it before having it serviced.

Enough text, time for pictures 😀

These are the right thoughts. Good luck with your case. Congratulations on a good watch.

It has work 24h with less than 5s derivation! Pretty impressive for a watch which has never been serviced.
but I took an appointment with the watchmaker

While it is still waiting to get serviced before being daily worn, I wanted to give a try on leather, and I think it works well!
Love those sharp edge (but a lots of vintage DNA in it... need an ultrasonic batch with the serviced!)

Great taste - a beautiful watch has met its right owner. Thanks for posting this. (But ease off now - I could get jealous!) Happy 2021.

Nice catch. That is a lovely watch. I do like it on the bracelet better than the strap, but its a personal thing. These C case Connies are finally getting the respect they deserve.

Very hard for such a classy watch not to look good on just about any strap or bracelet. Wear it in good health.

I don’t know if it is common for watch from this era... back then people bought watch to wear them!
But in the next decade.... with people investing in watch, I guess there will be plenty of vintage watch NOS popping around 😀
