Hi,

I wanted to get some thoughts on this 1969 Omega Constellation:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1353731359...GiBZX-QiO&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=EMAIL

I've been searching for a 168.027 for a year and came across this one. I know it needs a new crown, but what do you think of the condition? I like the yellow gold plated look, but a lot of the gold plating has worn off on all the others I've found. This is the best version I've seen for sale.

If this is the wrong place to ask this please let me know.

Thanks!

I don't generally click on links, but it is really gold-plated? Or gold-capped.

It may actually be gold-capped, which explains the variances with the gold plated. See photos attached

Yes, that is gold-capped. You can see the stainless base from the back side. The bracelet may be gold-filled. From what I can see, it looks fine.

I think it is all original including the crown. I have a similar gold cap C case. They wear very well and this includes original brick bracelet which is nice. Does not appear over polished Caseback medallion looks good. This model often has more wear around lugs they can get shiny but seems to have some visible circular brushing. Overall a nice example price a bit high but with brick bracelet not unreasonable. And from a good seller.
