Considering this Omega Seamaster 2576

Hello watch fam,
I'm considering to buy this Omega Seamaster 2576 from a dealer. Is anyone able to tell me from these pictures, if the watch is all orignal or is there some obvious flaws that I am missing? For me, the Minute Markers look weird, but im not sure if thats the angle or lighting because of the acrylic crystal. Also, what would be a fair Price considering its coming from a dealer? its priced at 1800€

Any help or Opinions would be greatly appreciated

I like it too! That price is not crazy. I wouldn't want to pay more than 1400 for it, but finding these in good condition is hard. Sometimes you have to pay up when you find a good one.

Looks like a lovely honest condition dial.
Always love these honeycomb, combined with black...

Everything looks original and in good shape.

That movement though desperately needs a clean. Maybe you can try to negotiate a bit on the price given you need to service the movement?

What information is available regarding its function, is it running, keeping time, any service history although it looks quite dirty so definitely would need a service
Quite attractive watch. The lume is radium on watch of this age. Some don’t buy radium pieces but most agree it’s ok under crystal

Nice dial and hand-set, but the case condition is questionable, and especially given the lack of a photo of the back.

The movement does not appear to be in good condition, and I would consider the asking price to be absurdly high.

Like it too. The movement looks a bit rough though. This watch has been sitting for more than a year on the dealer’s website, if not mistaken. Maybe there is a bit of room to negotiate.

Is there supposed to be lume on the 3 and 9 o'clock markers?

Firstly, the movement’s condition should be comparable to that of the dial. In this instance, the dial is in significantly better condition than the movement.
Secondly, in my opinion, the lume should fill entirely the triangular space at the end of the hour markers.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. apsm100 and hant26, do you guys think there is something wrong with the Lume?

I generally think that this reference is one of the nicest vintage Seamasters. Maybe the nicest of all. I'm also a fan of the bumper movement. Just have it serviced by someone reputable.
The black honeycomb is the icing on the cake. Rare and very nice. Yes, there is some loss of lume, especially at 3,9,12 and the aesthetics is real life are hard to judge from pictures...
The case looks pretty full to me.
I'd say that 1800 is a "normal" asking price for a piece like this. If you can negotiate it to south of 1500, I'd consider it a good deal.

The radium is a divisive issue. I personally don't buy radium watches, because I service them myself and am too paranoid about it. But if serviced by someone else with fresh seals/gaskets, it shouldn't be much of a concern.

I like it also. I have a 2577 with a black honeycomb dial and a bumper movement. They are hard to find. For your 2576, if the case, dial and movement are in good shape I would go up to $1,800 and then reduce if there are faults to the case, dial, or needs service.

Very nice. I'm not usually a fan of Breguet numerals (i know, sacrilege!), but i think it works beautifully on this one.

I’m not entirely sure about that. According to other members comment, you could be confident about its authenticity. But as a precaution, maybe you could chat with the seller about the return option if the watch doesn’t match the description. That watch definitely needs some proper service. Add that to the total cost. It’s a pretty nice watch, though!
