Hey everyone, I hardly ever post though I have been a member for a while and enjoy perusing the forums every now and again. I came across a watch I am interested in by a reputable seller and I can't seem to understand something. The watch being sold has box and papers with serial number matching the engravings but the reference number corresponds to the regular model, not the special edition (in this case St Moritz). I am a big fan of the St Moritz Chrono and have been looking for one but I just don't understand why everything on the watch matches the regular model EXCEPT the dial.

Can someone take a watch to Omega and put the St Moritz dial on a regular model? In every aspect the watch seems legit but for the life of me I can't figure out if this is a mistake or what. Even the caseback is missing the St Moritz engraving (which matches up with the warranty cards for a non St Moritz model). There are too many unknowns for me to pursue the purchase even from what appears to be a legit seller, but I am curious as to how this could have happened. Anyone have any thoughts?
