I still own this watch. And somehow it's still my only 5xx-series Omega!

And it’s still a lovely piece and it also pairs really well with the BoR.

But a BoR is always a nice addition to a vintage omega - in my eyes 😇😉

Here is what I wear today 😇 I know that the crown isn’t the original one (but it is an omega crown) but I still have the original one at home with all the in service replaced movement parts 😇

This quarter numerals white dial must be one of the more legible dials I have btw.

Slightly off-topic: regarding that crown - I had the same crown that @Nupero has, presumably original, but during the service they swapped in a new service crown (note to self: because of the water resistance). Mildly frustrating. Original crown is now in the parts box, and maybe, just maybe the next service will be with someone who puts the original back; and water resistance be damned!

EDIT: 'before' picture of my crown (and after):

Funny but they did exactly the same for waterresistant reason with my crown - without asking if I want that….

Since then I hand them in at a repair place in a village next to my hometown where I can speak with the watchmaker himself to make sure he gets what I want done and he never changes that and if he wants to do it differently he first gets back with me to make sure I am fine with it…. And so far he has proven worthy and shown me there is no need to hand in a watch to a brand certified watchmaker…

And if the watch shown above will be handed in for service again by me, I will have it swapped back to the original one 🤪

I suppose in about 8 years we'll see what can be done... 😅 Unless it starts to really bother me.

Haha I am going to live with it until it needs a service again and you probably will as well - by the way you answered 🤪😉
