they are almost the same age, summer 1970 for the one on the left and 6 months later for her sister on the right.
50 years later they are so different.
rather, the older one must have seen the drawers while the young girl was tanned her tritium in the Florida sun

I think both have seen a life, and the difference in color is 'random bin theory'...as most speedies in the early 70s to mid 80s have that green color lume like the one on the left, whereas early 70's and 60's most had non green lume like the one on the right. Also, the chrono hand is wrong on the one on the right, but its lume color is awfully pumpkiny (and extremely matchy-matchy to the H/M hands) which to me looks like a relume on all hands, as its not a color (or texture) found on these. Regardless, nice pieces 👍

edit: the cases also need some comparison…

I too vote relume for the watch on the RHS. Unless it can be shown this has been in constant ownership for years, I think it has seen relatively recent work. It is a nice job but the hand shape, colour and slight puffiness are suggestive of non-originality.
