Hi, @Bencherman - always good to see a new face/avatar/y'know what I mean. What watches do you have at the moment?
Don't laugh... I just put away my Huawei Smart Watch, and recently purchased a new Tudor Black Bay Chronograph (whenever I hear my phone ringing, I still look down at my wrist, but the phone number or message doesn't appear on my Tudor): I like the Tudor! It feels like a small fine machine on my wrist. I hope to purchase soon another "work" watch, like the Geneve (or something like it), and later on I would like to purchase a 14 or 18k solid gold "minimalist" kind of vintage watch, not necessarily Omega. Perhaps IWC, Zenith, or whatever else has legacy and is considered a quality company.

Are you married yet, these things seem much easier to do when your single, unless you are a real man who runs the house unlike me

Somehow I screwed up on my handheld device, but here is my reply...

I don't know your budget, or how often you would wear gold, but vintage Hamilton watches in solid gold offer a ton of variety and value - there is something for almost everyone. Look at their 770 or 982 (982M?) movements, I think they have both "quality" and "legacy", and you won't break the bank.[/QUOTE]

I figure to spend around $1,000 on a "work" watch, and around $2,000 - $3,000 on a "formal" solid gold watch. I appreciate your suggestion and I will look into the Hamiltons. They are appealing. Frankly, I'm looking forward to the day when my grandsons are older and will want to put one of my watches on their wrists and get the similar enjoyment that I get when I wear a nice watch (certainly not my Smart Watch).

Thank you. I appreciate the suggestion. I'm starting to get used to navigating through the various portions of the Forum and Threads. Is there a reason why the dates of the messages seem to be disorganized, and out of order?
Posts get edited, and then replies come in, moving them up and down the ladder from recent to older. Is this what you are referring to?

It seems like the dates on the Posts, within the Forum, often are not sequential, and some are very old. I guess I'll become used to it if I stay on the Forum long enough.

Who are you really? What was your previous username?

Never mind, I don't care.

The posts are ordered by the most recent reply, not the original posting date, so you can go by the second column on the page, under the handle of the most recent replier.

Nice! Great to see photos of that BB. Wish I had one.
