Played around with lighting/exposure of the picture, and you’re right. There’s no date at 6 o’clock. It’s either at 3 (which isn’t ascertainable in this picture) or removed entirely.

Here’s the edited (lighting only, no amendments) photo:

Nice, this combined with the screen caps from the first teaser video proves no date I think.

I would agree that thinner is better. Seems like the folks from Omega would peruse through forums to get some good feedback on their designs. In my opinion the dimensions of the old 2254.50 is absolute perfection. 41mm and between 11 and 12mm thick.

I wouldn't mind thinner, but I'd prefer the PO to stay large diameter wise.

The more i think about it, this might be the end of the ploprof?

My hunch is that if you opted for the 39.5, the size of the ultra deep is not going to be to your liking. I think it gets announced Monday if I recall correctly.

Yeah you are most likely correct, don't get me wrong I love a big watch but I have a very small wrist and plan to wear it often. If it gets announced Monday I should get a look at it before mine ships.

This will be a Ultra Deep commercial model and not the new Planet Ocean.
Yeah, that does appear to be the case now. I'm still hoping for a new PO though. It would be odd to release only the UD and not update the rest of the lineup. We could get something Ploprof-related too.

Here's a slightly better look.
Looks like they're reverting to male end-links for the bracelet, which doesn't really bode well for those of us with more slender wrists.

From that photo, no… but we already know it’s not at 3 from the photo first shared by you in the OP 👍😗😉

I also hope for a Ultra Deep Version, especially with the open lugs, because the Tudor FXD showed, that there is a market for this straight design…..

I think it was mentionned before, but what about something between PO and UD? A chunky PO with 800-1000m? Still chunky but not yet UD-chunky?

I love Omega to death, they are my favorite brand by far, but for the life of me I cannot understand why they cannot simply release divers in the 40-42mm range with a thickness not exceeding 14.5 with a tapered bracelet and no fake patina. I I get that the SMP300 exists but there is no tapering bracelet. The Seamaster 300 would be a smash hit if it wasn't for the fauxtina. The Planet Ocean is about as perfect as a diver gets (I actually don't mind the HE everyone seems to loathe, I simply just don't notice it unless I remember it's there), but at 16.3mm thick it's just not a realistic daily wearer for most people. All this is to say that if they introduce another thick dive watch into the lineup then I desperately hope that means the regular Planet Ocean goes down to no thicker than 14mm. In a dream world for me personally it would be 12-13mm thick, but that isn't ever going to happen because it's supposed to be chunkier than the SMP300M, so that wish is irrelevant. They can even keep the 43.5mm diameter because they wear smaller across the wrist than that metric would suggest. From a lineup perspective they can cover all bases by keeping the more specialized versions like the GMT and Chrono as the thicker version of PO's. But currently the PO that is missing from the lineup is the PO that should be the core: black dial/black bezel, 40mm-43.5mm Diameter x 14mm Thickness x 48-49mm L2L with the caliber 8900 inside (for the time zone function that the SMP 300M so tragically lacks) and a fully lumed bezel like we saw on the orange/white. And for a brand that loves reissues, where on earth is the reissue of the 166.024 SM300 with no fauxtina? But thats a conversation for another thread. In short: please, PLEASE, Omega, just give us a thinner Planet Ocean so we can happily wear proudly the best diver on the market.

Who needs the date at 1,000 below? 😵‍💫

Looks like it could be chunky - I pity the poor door jambs that are going to get whacked with this model 😎
