I just purchased this one and am awaiting it's arrival. I was ambivalent about the logo and inscription but for the price I took a flier. I am curious about the fact that I could only find images of Stainless versions. Is the Ref correct as I've posted it? Is the crown correct? I've seen others in the images I looked at. What is the best way to clean the "patina" off (or should I?)?
Thanks for any input!

Can’t comment on the Cominco-part, but regarding the rest:

Are you aware the top right and the bottom left lug are severely bent out of shape?

Throw the case in an ultrasonic bath or gentle clean it manually - only after the movement etc was extracted of course. Wipe it with a gold cloth and hope the dark spots everywhere are discoloration, not damage.

I believe the crown to be correct (and heavily used, resulting in the loss of gold plating).

I had hoped that the lugs were repairable?

Hope never dies!

I don’t know. They might be repairable, they might just as well snap off when bent back. Have a professional do it. The question is if it’s worth it to invest significant money into a watch that would be 300$ or so without the lug issue? That’s up to you to decide, of course.
