For security and logistic reasons, I rarely have all my watches in one spot. Over the Xmas holidays and most recent lockdown, I did have an opportunity to photo everything and bought a cheap display box for the opportunity.

I just set out to track the history of the brand, not get anything ‘amazing’. I am not a perfectionist either as you can probably tell. I am at a bit of a crossroads now. A lot of these watches just sit in secure storage. Three of them still need to be ‘finished’ and I have a few with service costs to come.

Sometimes I do miss the old days when I just had ‘the watch’ the 2254.50.00 was in that slot a while. I still think it is a great watch. I guess the G shock is in that slot some of the time now.

Now the 2x 9300 movements and the Globemaster+ the Seamaster Trinity 57 get the most wrist time but I am still drawn to the Marine C (a guilty pleasure). Needing a battery and being in storage that is not the most practical for intermittent use. I have a bracelet for the Globemaster which I need to swap over soon.

I guess what next – I do love the Ed White, Some of the Aqua Terra, The Railmaster, Seamaster 48 and some of the City Editions. The new Speedmaster is a hit for me (especially in Canopus Gold – but that is a bit rich) Maybe I just go for a 310.30.42.50.01.002 3861 Sapphire Sandwich?

Being very honest I also like the Lange 1 but it is also a bit rich for me and goes against my brand allegiance ,and I prefer bracelet for regular wearing.

I also think about getting a modern bracelet for my 145.012 and wearing that more (it has a retro-fit display case back)

For vintage the 176.007 was a hit for me but I have scratched that itch (a bit more service work also needed). I also had my eye on a Memomatic – too much to choose from.

Thoughts and advice / suggestions appreciated. I think the 310.30.42.50.01.002 3861 is currently edging it for me.

I posted that you should look at a Connie next but binned it since I see you have one there. You have a few that I would move on personally but you do have many bases covered. You are missing a straight lug Speedy of some kind, FOIS if you want cheap, or Ed White/2998 if you have deep pockets. Those are a keeper in my experience.

I think I could look at a better example - but there is some history to that one and it runs well / had a good service.

Thanks - it is not a runner (while partial) currently / needs a service = Seamaster 1040 movement which I think is from 1972

A couple of maybe left field suggestions which I have found have stuck with me and have survived many culls (1 & 2 are the same watch)

Nice collection . Sticking with Omega, you could add a splash of colour...

I do like some of the old Eterna and Certina watches. I recall my Father was very taken with the Thor Heyerdahl story from his school days so a Kon-tiki would not be a bad choice.

A Rolex Explorer and at one stage (going of piste) a Sky dweller nearly made the list at one stage. I think a Railmaster or Aqua Terra are still in the running for the 'clean bezel' look - Maybe a Trinity 57.

I while back I did think about a Ploprof but not the right timing / too chunky for me currently (price and case size)

It seems you like chronos and also Omega. I would mention the Breitling Chronomat B01, or the retro AVI 1953 edition, and the new Zenith chronomaster sport. Since it looks like your allegiance is to Omega then maybe a pre owned one of the Omega Racing dial speedmasters or the fratello OMEGA Speedmaster Speedy Tuesday Limited Edition either ST1 or ST2.
