Pictured is my 4-watch collection. Lately I’ve been thinking about selling both the Seamaster 300 MC and the vintage Seamaster.

So i ask the forum, if i were to sell those two, which Omega model (let’s say under $4K pre-owned) would you add to make this a 3-watch collection? My preferences are irrelevant, I’m more interested in what you all would come up with.

thanks!

You will need a "dress" watch, so I'm not sure why you are selling the vintage SM. Would you prefer a Constellation? Or something fancier like a TDM?

For sake of argument, let’s just say an Aqua Terra is as dressy as I’ll ever need, for my personal tastes.

But following your fact pattern, i could sell the SM300 MC, keep the vintage and deposit the proceeds. But that’s no fun!

I’d go with a sweep seconds hand, no date Connie. I like gold and never thought I would. So simple, classy, light and comfortable it can go great with a suit or dress up jeans.

Okay, if we're going strictly hypothetical, and getting rid of the SMP MC and the vintage...I would make a move towards one of the newer Globemaster models, probably a pre-owned model from a dealer...or if I wanted to save and get a new piece both, I might go with a DeVille.

In reality, it is in fact the AT's I'm mostly looking at these days 😗

What about bringing a Railmaster?
Now that’s interesting. That would fill the slightly dressier but still sporty, vintage flair with modern proportions and reliability....well played.

I’m with @Dan S on this one, it would be a pity not to have a dress watch in there and maybe in yellow or rose gold to break up the monotony of steel a bit.

I could certainly see a Globemaster working;

not so sure about the Railmaster though in that company.

Or go off in a completely different direction and add a Memomatic.

Globemaster but in white could be a serious contender

Just a thought for you as you consider the possibilities.
High praise for the effort here, but the Seamaster pro diver is here to stay!

You asked for opinions, so here it goes.

I currently own the two watches on the left (the older Seamaster Pro and the 300 MC). I have previously owned the Speedmaster Pro.

I would sell the Seamaster Pro and keep the 300MC, and keep the vintage. The 300 MC is superior to the old Pro in every way. Then you have a nice 3-watch collection that contains 3 different watches. If you want to sell the vintage Seamaster as well, then get a vintage Constellation in gold for a dress watch.

But that’s me.
