There are some beautiful vintage and new time pieces on this site. I recently acquired a .005 moonwatch in hesalite and it is much less forgiving than the sapphire on my seamaster pro. What does everyone here use to keep the crystal, hesalite and bracelet in the best condition? I tend to rotate fairly regularly between bracelet and stops. I recently saw someone mention polywatch as an option for the hesalite - any other opinions? Thx
Here's a thread I started about Polywatch and got some great answers including alternate cleaning compounds. https://omegaforums.net/threads/is-there-a-downside-to-polywatch.34411/ The general recommendation for metal is a jeweler's cloth.
just read through that thread, great points - and now i understand why it is able to get the fine scratches out (liquid sandpaper causing heat/melting into he crack etc). Great great stuff. Thanks!
