Seriously there is nothing about Range Rovers of that vintage that is too scary they are really pretty simple mechanically speaking,. Much bullshit is parroted by pub experts that have no worthwhile experience of the cars.....By that I mean actually getting their hands dirty not some clown who fixes everything with a credit card! If you can't fix one of these things you shouldn't own tools, and stay in you office doing whatever pointless stuff you fill your day with. Electrically they can be bit annoying but there are fixes for those problems and have probably been done by now.
….apart from the back rusting and those aluminium (no, not aluminum ffs) back window surround falling apart? Or is that just here in the UK where it rains?

We don't really do rust here in Oz unless you have a Toyota Land Cruiser, on a quite night you can hear them rust!

Not sure which challenge makes this guy brave... handling the 90+ degree heat, or the traffic in Ft. Lauderdale on a Saturday afternoon?

A bit like the Peugeot 504.......... Some years ago all the 504s in OZ were bought up by immigrants from Nth Africa to send back home to their relatives, they couldn't believe their luck at finding so many rust free examples. as a result 504s are a bit of a rarity here now.
You wouldn't believe that they were once common here, as they were assembled here along side Renault 12s, 16s and TE series Ford Cortina station wagons in the old shared Renault/ Peugeot West Heidelberg plant.

Oddly enough I know of one they didn't get..........because I had a head on collision driving one, the other car was a Ford Cortina.....even stranger, It was driven by a mate!

Peugeot 504
Mate I worked with had a 404 ute he bought new. He'd flogged it to death all over Oz and it just wouldn't stop.
He'd been offerred heaps by collectors and dealers, thing was, he didn't care much about money.
It was a deep green cab with a wooden plank side tray, lovely looking car.

Poor pic of an Opel GT
I had a yellow 72 GT about twenty-five years ago. I enjoyed that car but quickly transitioned into a Triumph Spitfire because I wanted a convertible.

This Alfa Spider out side my house looks absolutly gorgeous. I dig those weels, so much better than "dime a docen" modern alloys.

If you fail the driving test three times in Holland, you get yellow license plates. 😁

yeah - but was it on a Ghibli - because I'm pretty sure that hideous body kit wasn't.

The 'wedge' shaped design is a bit of a love it or loathe it style of the 80s but bastardising like that really doesn't help sell it.
