Just having a casual browse through Chrono24 and the vintage watches (getting an idea of prices - trying to decide which of my two Pie Pans I am going to move on) and I don't know if it is me but some of the vintage Omegas (especially from dealers) look as though they are redials. Are dealers expected to highlight this fact or is it 'buyer beware' ? Prices seem to range from low £1000's up to £2000 plus.

On Chrono24 it is buyer beware. Watches are not checked by chrono. Do your homework, buy the seller and recheck here if you are unsure and you should be fine.

If you do your homework and go for watches you’ll wear, it can work.
I bought an Omega 166.010 on Chrono24 for about £560 plus postage and tax. An ‘intermediary’ was trying to sell the same watch on eBay for about £1200.
Just lucky to spot it but it reenforced my original judgement.
I’ve since bought two or three watches and have been happy with the watch and the price, and communication with the seller.

Its kinda buyer beware but not in the true sense of the phrase.Afaik Chrono24 does require that dealers disclose redials and are allowed to sell only original products.

As stated they do not however check the listings so the buyer has to spot any issues in the listing or at least when he/she gets the watch.

Afaik the same applies to private listings in C24. They are required to be trutful descriptions and original products but buyers must make their home work / due diligence extra thoroughly.
