So what did you end up doing? I had the same dilemma with my 6.25 in wrists. The 39.5mm did seem tiny after I tried the 43.5mm, I remember telling the salesman no way I would buy the 39.5. But I returned and tried the 39.5 first and it actually looked great, and then the 43.5 and it looked monstrous on my small wrist. I bought the 39.5mm and wear it everyday and don’t regret.

I have the same problem. I love the current PO, for me it is one of the most beautiful and cool watches. But the 43 is just to massive and the 39 seemed to small for my 7“ wrist when I tried it.

Still thinking of just buying the 39. Maybe I will get used to it. After all, I sold a bunch of watches like the current SMPc and the Tudor BB Eta because they were to big for my liking.

39.5 looks great imo

but it depends what you're looking for.... if you want to scream "i have a big watch!!!" then perhaps the larger option is better

for comparison I have a 7.25 inch wrist and most of my watches are around 39-40mm

Another vote for the 39.5. I went through the same process with another watch (Oris Aquis). I owned the 43 for years and loved it, but found it a little too big. I tried on the 39.5 several times and found it a little too small. I eventually gave up, sold my 43, and have been wearing/loving a 36mm Tudor for the last year... go figure.

Without wearing each for a while, it's hard to decide which is best for you. I realize now that if I'm on the fence, I'm probably better off with the smaller watch. They may look out of place in the AD next to their bigger brother, but living with them day-to-day, they feel more natural on my wrist and fit my personality/style better.

Both are beautiful watches. You might just have to take a leap on one of them and spend some time with it. Or you could check out the newest Aquis, which is coming out in 41mm 😀

I own the 42, 8500. Bad watch for sailing or home works, too much inertia and height. If you do some sport where inertia counts, the 39.5mm is the one. Inertia: is something like the tendency to keep the motion status...more weight more inertia.

I am still waiting. I did try another time. This time 39.5 first without looking into 43. I felt it better however, when compared with 43 it looks small. I usually wear bigger watches, so I am not convinced yet. Congratulations on your purchase. It looks great!
