    Hi,.

I recently got into vintage watches and I really like the Certina DS-2 with the red dial. I've been offered this watch for less than $200 but realised that the dial says DS and the case and rest of the dial looks like a DS-2. I've looked can't find examples of a DS with a similar dial or case and haven't found any.

Just checking if anyone knows if it's a Re-Dial or a rare model of DS. Leaning towards passing it up but checking I'm not missing out on a bargain. I've attached a photo of the movement as well if that helps. Thanks.

This watch is a DS-2 --> dial should say DS-2. I'm pretty sure it's a redial and not a rare variant. Pics are real blurry but there appears to be a fumé pattern and the font looks ok... This one might be a partial redial.

I think the watch is all original, but is a ladies watch. Less than 25mm diameter, it is a scaled down version of the DS-2.

I guess Certina felt that there wasn’t enough room on the dial for “DS-2”, so here we are.

Another similar watch in almost NOS condition:

Good thinking @gatorcpa ! So it's not a redial. 17-351 is a movement that Certina used in ladies watches.
